Dirty Blood Series Book 2 | A Review of Bite the Terror that feeds written by Penelope Barsetti

***Thank you to NetGalley, Penelope Barsetti, and Dreamscape Media for sending me the audiobook to review.***

This is the review of Bite the Terror that Feeds written by Penelope Barsetti. I got the audiobook from Netgalley.  Upon reading the last book I wanted to know the story of Larissa and Kindsnake but I got a surprise in this book. This book introduced a second lead couple which is more interesting than the main couple. They are much more fun plus the plot thickens in the world of Vampires and Ethereals. Here is a brief synopsis of the book;

He gave me his word—and he broke it.

Kingsnake promised me he would let me go once he found the cure, but he’s known this entire time and never once shared it with me. And now that I know the truth, that there is no cure, he still won’t let me go. Now I’m his prisoner once again.

He asks to feed from me several times, but I refuse all his advances. If he wants my blood, he’ll have to force it from me. He comes to my bedchambers to speak with me, but I pretend he doesn’t exist. Once his hunger intensifies and the weakness sets in, he’s forced to feed—and it won’t be from me.

Viper escorts me from my chambers to the brothel where his prey awaits, and I’m forced to look at a gorgeous and naked woman waiting for him. His betrayal has iced my heart and closed off my feelings, but my jealousy can’t be controlled. I may be angry with him, but I don’t want him to have anyone else but me.

So I submit to the vampire king—again.

I feel like this Goodreads description hasn't done justice in explaining the book. Anyway, I am here I will explain all to you.

MY REVIEW
So this story continues where the first book ended. Larissa is not responding to Kingsnake's request for feeding and he is growing week day by day. I got angry at Clarsiis at first because she was stubborn and did not see the reason but again it's her life and it's her blood she has the right to refuse. Then the twist she gives in....why???....because she got....jealous that Kingnake is going to feed from another woman and become intimate with her....yeah....typical...😂😂

Anyway next up Larissa is introduced to Cobra(the hotter brother of Kindsnake 😅😅) and their interaction is quite interesting. I fell in love with Cobra from that scene alone. Then they meet with the original father and the favorite son and go on their voyage to find the cure for the sickness that is plaguing the human population. We also get to see the different side of Larissa in this book she is supportive, patient, and can be funny sometimes.

Further ahead in the story things got interesting when I got to the chapter of Cobra. Chapter 13 to be precise. Oh my God!!! that chapter was so good. I was laughing and squealing and kept listening to that chapter again and again. That is the chapter where Cobra and Clara are introduced. The scene of their fighting was effingly hot.

Further ahead there were more chapters in Cobra and Clara's POV and they were all so good. Cobra is just an awesome character and Clara is a bitch 😅😂....Apologies she is a good bitch. I enjoyed their dynamic so much. They both became my favorite couple of the series. I am more invested in their story.

Another thing I loved in this book is the dynamic between all the brothers. It was so funny and cute. Like Cobra is the one who always gets into dangerous situations, Viper is so uptight and Kingsnake is like an older brother who loves them all and controls their temper. The bickering between Viper and Cobra after the assassination attempt was to die for. that was scene was 🤌.

The end was somewhat of a cliffhanger. I can't wait to start the next book. I already got it from Netgalley and will be diving in straight after writing this review. On the whole, the audiobook was amazing, and both female and male narrators were awesome. I particularly love the voice and narration of male narrator Michael Ferraiuolo. I will definitely recommend the audiobook.
