Havoc at Prescott High Book 1- A Review

Have you ever stumbled upon a book without any prior knowledge and found yourself captivated by its unexpected storyline? That's exactly what happened to me when I started reading Havoc at Prescott High out of the blue. Little did I know that I was about to read a reverse harem book, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience. I will share my thoughts on this book, highlighting its strengths and areas that could have been improved. So, grab a cup of tea.

Reverse harem literature flips the traditional harem narrative, featuring a female protagonist who becomes the center of attention for multiple male love interests. It challenges the norms and offers a fresh perspective on romance and relationships. Havoc at Prescott High successfully weaves this unique twist into its plot, creating an engaging and sometimes intense reading experience.

One aspect that stood out to me was its plot development. The story unfolded gradually, revealing new layers and surprises along the way. While the overall plot could have been more intricate and refined, it managed to keep me hooked from beginning to end solely focusing on Blackbird (that's what i will call her because I am in love with this name). The author skillfully built anticipation and added twists that kept me eagerly turning the pages.

As the story progressed, I witnessed the growth and development of the protagonist. Her character arc was a highlight of the book, as she evolved from a somewhat naive and uncertain individual to a stronger and more confident person. It was inspiring to witness her transformation and root for her throughout the challenges she faced.

What sets "Blackbird" apart is its ability to strike a balance between spice and storytelling. While it offers a dose of spice and chemistry between the characters, the plot remains at the forefront, ensuring that the story doesn't get overshadowed by the reverse harem dynamics. This delicate balance made the book a satisfying read, catering to both those seeking romance and those craving an engaging storyline.

Looking for a book that provides a light and enjoyable reading experience while sipping your favorite tea? this fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't require intense concentration or deep analysis. Instead, it offers a pleasant escape, allowing you to relax and immerse yourself in the world of Blackbird and her charming suitors.

However, I will also mention it here that This book series explored other criminal themes that might be triggering to some. If you make a purchase through this affiliate link, I will get a small commission at no extra cost to you.

A Critical Lens on 'Hunting Adeline' by H.D. Carlton: Exploring the Disturbing Themes | A Review

I kept delaying writing the review because I had to remember it and didn't want to do that. This 2nd book of Cat and Mouse duet is the story of a human trafficking survivor. This book is a huge  TRIGGER WARNING . Kindly proceed with caution. I even got traumatized after reading it. So to explain the synopsis; Adeline (the main character) got kidnapped at the end of the first book and sold to some people who groomed her for some very rich and powerful clients.  Almost half of the book is based on Adeline surviving the worst situations possible for a woman. Adeline had one advantage someone was fervently searching for her, and eventually, Zade managed to rescue her after four agonizing months. The scene when Zade finds her and she just could not believe it. She crumbled to her knees thinking she was hallucinating. After Zade brings her home she struggles so hard to process her trauma. She learns to fight to take control of her life. She gets close to her mother. She hates h...

'The Never King' by Nikki St. Crowe | A Review

"The Never King" by  Nikki St. Crowe   is an incredibly absurd book. I mean, while reading it, I found myself perplexed, cringing, and wondering what on earth I was actually reading. These rollercoaster emotions I experienced throughout the book. The story revolves around Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, with Winnie, a member of the Darling family line, whose mother is clearly mentally unstable. Her mother's bizarre and neglectful behavior towards her is maddening. When Winnie turns 18, her mother's insanity escalates as she believes Peter Pan is coming to kidnap Winnie, and indeed, he does just that. He takes her to Neverland, where he inexplicably chains her to a bed and watches over her while she's unconscious. The frequent mention of Winnie being different from other Darlings without a clear explanation becomes rather tiresome. Meanwhile, Peter's shadow is lost, causing Neverland to wither slowly. So his main goal is to find his shadow and secure his power o...

I just finished reading Queen of Roses. I found this book on Netgalley and requested to read and the author granted permission.  The book is written by Briar Boleyn . This is her TikTok . So it took some time for me to start reading the book series. The series consists of three books. I finished the first book so I thought let's write the review when it is fresh.  Let's dive into the synopsis. I will make sure to not spoil anything for you. The series is a retelling of the Legend of Arthur and Excalibur. the series focused on one character which is Morgan Pendrath; half sister of King Arthur; and also shown as half-Fae in the first book. King Arthur is the cruel king in this story, he also has a younger brother named Kaye is just a child who doesn't have a significant role in the first book but I am guessing in the coming books he is going to play some important part.  So, back to the story; Morgan is half Fey because her mother was full-blooded Fey and to hide her herit...
