My Best Arc Reading Experience of 2024 | The Crimson Snow by Laura Vega

Feature post banner My best arc reading experience of 2024

Hello, Readers!!!

Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet where I discuss books, do reviews, and ramble my nonsense. This blog post is very special because I will share my amazing magical experience with you guys. For those who don't know I am an avid arc reader and I promote books in any way I can so there is this beautiful magical post that showed up on my feed (somewhere in August I believe) on Threads app about arc reading and I immediately clicked the link.  That arc form was absolutely magical....asking these whimsical questions that I always wanted to answer 😂😅.

At the end of the form, this was written Laura will reach out to you with the e-book in September—but don’t be surprised if she starts following your path through the Weeping Forest or takes a peek at your favorite haunts on social media. She’s known to linger in the shadows, much like Seraphine in Coldhaven, and loves making new bookish besties who dare to explore her world.

I mean I wasn't ready to handle this much excitement. I decided to stalk this author. started talking to her and found out she is an amazing person too. Do check her Instagram @lauralorebooks. Laura Vega is a Wizard from another realm and she is causing havoc in the arc-reading community with her amazing and outstanding antics.

The next Day after filling out the form I received this email

1
Then I got this email and I remember I picked Fox on the arc form and I got my Fox chapter. I read the chapter and similar to the arc experience it was breathtaking. It took me to this magical world.... mean look at the words 🧑‍🍳😙🤌.

Then we as arc readers are sorted out into relevant houses. This Wizard Person made her arc reader feel so included in the whole experience like it was the same feeling when I first saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry received his letter from Hogwarts. It was me when I received this email that I was sorted into Starlight Wanderer House. It was based on the choices I made during my arc form and I was stunned and pleasantly surprised. I am a Starlight wanderer....I would definitely wander into the forest at night......given that it doesn't house creepy demons only good beautiful magical demons lol.

Then we got another set of chapters and I didn't read them because I knew I could not have the anticipation I needed the full book 😅. I am an impatient person when it comes to books.
  7
And now came the fun part. all arc readers were given a real-time view of the whole process and I kept watching and looking at this beautiful screen.....isn't it breathtaking?

Look at this Beauty!!!!

Then in the next step, I was chosen as the Mystery reader and I was laughing and getting excited at this. I got the idea to write about my experience and here I am writing about this magical book. As soon as I am finished with this blog I am gonna plunge head first into this story. I love fairytales and I am already betting this one is going to be my favourite. The fun part it's the Red Riding Hood retelling which is my favorite fairytale of all time ever since I watched Red Riding Hood Movie in 2011.

And here is a Book Showcase for you. Can you believe this cover? The artist did an amazing job. I design book covers as my side job and I am in awe of people who draw like this. This person is insanely talented at capturing the whimsical fairytale vibe of the book.

A Critical Lens on 'Hunting Adeline' by H.D. Carlton: Exploring the Disturbing Themes | A Review

I kept delaying writing the review because I had to remember it and didn't want to do that. This 2nd book of Cat and Mouse duet is the story of a human trafficking survivor. This book is a huge  TRIGGER WARNING . Kindly proceed with caution. I even got traumatized after reading it. So to explain the synopsis; Adeline (the main character) got kidnapped at the end of the first book and sold to some people who groomed her for some very rich and powerful clients.  Almost half of the book is based on Adeline surviving the worst situations possible for a woman. Adeline had one advantage someone was fervently searching for her, and eventually, Zade managed to rescue her after four agonizing months. The scene when Zade finds her and she just could not believe it. She crumbled to her knees thinking she was hallucinating. After Zade brings her home she struggles so hard to process her trauma. She learns to fight to take control of her life. She gets close to her mother. She hates h...

'The Never King' by Nikki St. Crowe | A Review

"The Never King" by  Nikki St. Crowe   is an incredibly absurd book. I mean, while reading it, I found myself perplexed, cringing, and wondering what on earth I was actually reading. These rollercoaster emotions I experienced throughout the book. The story revolves around Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, with Winnie, a member of the Darling family line, whose mother is clearly mentally unstable. Her mother's bizarre and neglectful behavior towards her is maddening. When Winnie turns 18, her mother's insanity escalates as she believes Peter Pan is coming to kidnap Winnie, and indeed, he does just that. He takes her to Neverland, where he inexplicably chains her to a bed and watches over her while she's unconscious. The frequent mention of Winnie being different from other Darlings without a clear explanation becomes rather tiresome. Meanwhile, Peter's shadow is lost, causing Neverland to wither slowly. So his main goal is to find his shadow and secure his power o...

I was on a free trial of Scribd and Everand. This particular book popped up and I thought let's do it. So I started listening to this book. I mean I am speechless after listening to it. My mind is in short-circuit mode..LOL!!! I listened to it in November and I am late in writing this review. So, let's explore... The brief synopsis of this book is that the plot picks up from the ending of the last book (this is the second book in the series of Lost Vicious Boys). War is coming and I don't know which war and with whom. the Prince brothers confront their sister and find out some new secrets of hers and how she is the manipulative one. Pan is trying to forge some peace alliance with Captain Hook so he can find his shadow in his lands. Charlotte is after The dark one's heart and she is heartbroken that he is after Winnie's. She started playin...
