A Kingdom Of Stars And Shadows by Holly Renee | A Review

I just finished reading A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows written by Holly Renee . TikTok made me read it tbh and I have to say this book did not disappoint. I loved the story and plot. This is a 4 book series. It's kind of a Romanatsy with an intriguing plot, politics, wars among kingdoms, and races of Vampyres and Fae. I simply loved it. who doesn't love a good old vampire romance?. So let's get into a detailed review.  Blurb Destiny or desire? Where does your allegiance lie? I am told my union to the crowned prince will determine the fate of the kingdom, but it isn’t my betrothed who haunts my dreams. It’s the half-breed prince who stands at his side. He is darkness and sin, and when he whispers promises of wickedness in my ear, I crave a man who I can’t have. Every thought I have is treasonous. The way my hands ache to touch him deceitful. Even my dreams make me a traitor to the kingdom I am sworn to protect. But when the kingdom is attacked, I am forced to make choices

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig | A Book Review

So I was craving to read a mystery, cozy, cottage core type of book and I was trying to search some of these categories to find the perfect book. I posted on  TikTok  so people might give me some suggestions. A booktok friend  Sharstaysupreading   suggested reading  House of Salt and Sorrows . She said it is not cottage core but it is mysterious and interesting. I said why not let's do it. I started reading and finished it in 2 days and here is what I think about it.  I started reading it without even reading anything on Goodreads . I usually read reviews when I start a book just so I could indulge my brain to be a little curious. When I was halfway through the book then I read it and I was like whoa this sounds somewhat familiar. Then I went to GoodReads and found out it's a creepy retelling of 12 Dancing Princesses and I was so giddy and happy that I found this book. Well, I haven't read what the original 12 Dancing Princesses is but I remember Barbie and the 12 Dancing P

I have no idea how I found this book...I just know that found it......I was searching for something else and I found some quotes from this book somewhere.....I don't even remember which social platform that was Insta or Tiktok....anyway. Long story short I read the quotes and I was like I had to read this book. I bought it and started reading it. This is written by C.R. Jane ...this is the 3rd book in the Mafia Wars series and you can read it as standalone.   here is the description of the book; GENRE   Contemporary Dark Romance (not dark dark but sort of dark) THEME AND TONE contemporary LANGUAGE AND WRITING STYLE Easy to Read CHARACTERS Complex Multilayered Characters TROPES ☙ RH  ☙ Traumatic Past ☙ Crime, Abuse ☙ Mafia and Wars ☙ He falls first but doesn't admit it ☙ Contemporary Adult  MY REVIEW I usually do not like reading Mafia romances because tbh authors make them something else. In this book author does the same ....lol. But the difference is that I liked how seamles

Scorching lies by C.M Nyx | A Book Review

***This is a review of an ARC sample in exchange for an honest review*** This book Scorching Lies was a hype among some groups on booktok and all were talking good things about this book. I applied to the arc reading and finally got the book and I doved in head first in this story. This is the debut book written by C.M. Nyx . This book is the first in the series and it started out well I would say. Here is a brief description of this book on Goodreads ; I had everything, a family, safety, comfort, I was the heiress to my fathers empire, but that all came burning down, leaving me scarred and alone. If that wasn't enough, the lies started coming to the surface. The betrayal blindsided me and I was left broken and lying on the ground of my own personal hell. My enemies were now lined up, waiting for the chance to make me bleed. My former friends had their hands wrapped around my throat, trying to snuff out the last of my family's bloodline, all for revenge. Ryker was the most vici

Blood will be shed, hearts will be stolen, and true love will be put to the test in A Curse for True Love, the breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy. GENRE   Fairytale, Fantasy, Romantasy THEME AND TONE Ethereal, Whimsical, Beautiful Setting

Lightlark by Alex Aster | A Book Review

A Fellow booktoker recommended me this book. She talks about it all the time and makes really catchy videos featuring this Duology. I got interested and purchased this book. Lightlark is the first book in the series written by Alex Aster. I got to know some pretty interesting facts about the Author and how this book was published. You should learn it too this is not my story to tell 😅. Anyhow I started reading this book in March and finished it one week. Somehow I got late in writing and reviewed all the books I read in March. So now I am starting again. This is the brief of this book on Goodreads; Welcome to the Centennial. Every 100 years, the island of Lightlark appears to host the Centennial, a deadly game that only the rulers of six realms are invited to play. The invitation is a summons—a call to embrace victory and ruin, baubles and blood. The Centennial offers the six rulers one final chance to break the curses that have plagued their realms for centuries. Each ruler has somet
